Wicca 101 is a 25 week long class taught by Saelyn Samhainborn. The class concerns itself with basic Eclectic Wicca. Though the class is introductory; all experience levels are welcome so long as the mind and heart are open to learning.
The class is FREE.
You must be at least 18 years old to participate in the class. If you are not at least 18 years old you must provide parental consent.
The members, and therefore the activities (i.e. classes and rituals), of Fire Harvest Circle do not discriminate based on age, gender-identity, race, ethnicity, physical ability, or sexual orientation. Anyone who attends a class or ritual with FHC will be expected to behave likewise or will be asked to leave.
The class is designed to be half discussion/research and the other half to be hands on. Among the topics that will be discussed and taught are...
Magical Jargon: From the sacred to the profane, what they mean, how to say them, and where they come from.
History of Wicca: The REAL origins of Wicca and modern Neo-Pagan movement.
Magickal Ethics: The Rede and the Rule of Three or Law of Return.
Deity: The aspects of the Lady and Lord, evoking Them in ritual, and incorporating Them into our lives
Magickal Tools: Your essential tools,what they're called and how you will use them. Also, the energies associated with them, how to make or buy your tools practically, and then how to cleanse, consecrate and charge them.
Altars: How, what, where, when and why...cheaply!
Sacred Space: The art of choosing, preparing, and clearing space for magickal and practical usage.
Sabbats: The eight sacred days of Wicca. The dates, the purposes and the variety of mythologies cycles, stories and magickal associations with each.
Esbats and Luna Magick: The science and mystery of the Moon and her movements, their effect on us and their effect on our magick. Timing your magick with the moon and honoring Her changes.
Magickal use of Herbs: A very broad introduction to the use of herbs in a variety of magickal uses.
Circle Casting: From the simple to the complex, casting as a solitary and casting with a group.
Ritual Design: Designing a ritual from start to finish all the details beyond casting both in solitary and group situations.
